Kenai River Float

On Wednesday we joined birthday boy Mark and Shoman for a scenic float on the Kenai River.  Mark had an extra ticket for a guided trip by Alaska Wildland Adventures, which Jess snatched because she gets like all the cool stuff.  I bought mine for $50 and drove us 90 minutes south to Cooper Landing for an afternoon of hypnotic adventure.

The trip lasted about three hours.  I think we both fell asleep at one point.  Our guide Rocky leisurely paddled the nine of us down the river in a yellow inflatable raft, occasionally breaking conversation to point out a dall sheep, bonsai tree or bald eagles nest.  Hair-raising?  Nah, but real nice.
